Q2 2014 Humanist Giving results arrive on the eve of FBB’s conference

50 Cents. Period. made us aware of the impact of menstruation on women across the world. Greening of Detroit showed us that urban greening and environmental education can both be achieved in an industrial city. While our Humanist Giving program was collecting money for a grant to Worldreader, an individual FBB supporter, Jeff Strang, took the initiative to expand Worldreader's program into a school in Ghana.
Our Human Rights beneficiary, the Leo Igwe Research Project, has become an ongoing partner. Leo Igwe works to alleviate the hardships faced by accused witches in villages in Ghana. Our relationship with Leo's project was strengthened when the Pathfinder's Project worked at a witch camp in Ghana last year. Leo Igwe will speak twice at our Humanism at Work conference this weekend.
