HAPI at GABAY SA PULANG LASO

7 members of HAPI and 3 members of Dear Grey Collective visited Gabay sa Pulang Laso, Inc. GPLI is a non- profit, community- based organization that aims to help people living with HIV (PLHIV) in need to a safe space and provides them psychosocial support. This event was a follow up to the Pride event on Twitter Spaces in June of 2022. That event was a fundraiser for GPLI to help them financially, and this was the visit to deliver goods to the shelter. These goods included canned goods, noodles and flu medicine. It also included equipment and ingredients that would help the housemates and volunteers make steamed cakes made with rice flour as a livelihood project to generate additional income to meet daily needs. 10 breakfast meals were prepared by HAPI Jr. and 24 pieces of cheese rolls (bread) were prepared by Dear Grey Collective. This was prepared for the 3 housemates at the shelter and the 3 volunteers on duty. As of now, they can’t accept more housemates in the men’s shelter, but on August 21, 2022 they will be opening their women’s shelter (also open for transwomen).
