HAPI National Turnover of Hydroponic Kits

On February 22, 2023, HAPI National, represented by CFO Mutya Valenzuela and Auditor Angie Driskell, and accompanied by HAPI Zambales lead convenor, Van Pugay Catayong, visited St. Francis Learning Center Foundation Inc. in Subic, Zambales. The purpose of this visit was to turn over ten hydroponic kits to the community. Although the community has its own land to grow vegetables, their previous attempts to grow vegetables and partner with aquaponics to raise tilapia were not successful. Starting with the smaller hydroponic kits will allow them to become more accustomed to the process. Once they have successfully grown enough vegetables using the kits, they may then move on to aquaponics or large-scale hydroponic projects. HAPI officers were given a tour of the property and visited the greenhouse where they intend to set up the hydroponic kits.
