TL2 – Bonobo in Congo

By

beneficiary-2010-q2-logo-TL2John & Terese Hart and their team are working to document and preserve one of the last well-preserved pieces of tropical forest in the heart of the Democratic Republic of the Congo that is one of the last remaining sanctuaries for the bonobo, or pygmy chimpanzee. They call the project “TL2” for the Tshuapa, Lomami and Lualaba Rivers that enclose this 25,000 square mile area of forest.

The words intrepid, dedicated and indefatigable don’t do justice to this American couple who have been working in D.R. Congo on conservation projects for nearly 25 years. Their wonderful website and blog explains in detail the goals and accomplishments of their project.
