BREAKING NEWS: Dallas man is free after 27 years with the help of Innocence Project of Texas

DALLAS, TEXAS (June 8, 2011)

Last Wednesday, after DNA testing pursued by the Innocence Project of Texas (this quarter’s Human Rights beneficiary), Johnny Pinchback was a free man.

Pinchback had been incarcerated since 1984 for two rapes the DNA tests proved he did not commit. Like all but one of Dallas County’s DNA exonerees, he was convicted based solely on faulty eyewitness testimony. (Read more.)
