Foundation helps fund scholarships to Power Shift summit

Third-quarter beneficiary Energy Action Coalition gave us this report on how they will use the funds they received from Foundation Beyond Belief. Foundation members donated $2,015 to Energy Action Coalition last quarter.
With the funds generously donated by our friends at Foundation Beyond Belief, Energy Action Coalition will be able to provide travel scholarships for Power Shift, our national youth climate summit, for participants from impacted communities who would otherwise be unable to attend Power Shift. This is the third Power Shift summit; the first was held in 2007 and the second in 2009. The conference is anticipated to gather more than 10,000 young people in Washington, DC, to share a life-changing experience. Following Power Shift, participants return to their campuses and communities energized and ready to take action!
Our ability to build a strong and diverse movement is closely linked to the level of support we receive for scholarships to Power Shift. We very much appreciate the donation from Foundation Beyond Belief to support this mission!
