Introducing our 2011 Summer Intern Team

We were thrilled by the number and quality of applications to our summer internship program. When the dust settled, a team of four talented and enthusiastic humanists was selected for this intensive 12-week program. Beginning May 22, the team will be hard at work on membership development, designing our new programs, charity selection, and much more.

MERRILL MILLER is a graduate of Ohio Northern University and self-described “proud atheist, humanist, and feminist” who will be attending grad school in English at Carnegie Mellon this fall. She brings deep and diverse experience in communications, PR, and social media to promote non-profits and raise awareness of social issues.

DANIEL SCHIFF is a rising senior philosophy major at Princeton University with certificates in Values & Public Life and Robotic & Intelligent Systems. Daniel is also the co-founder of PUSH (Princeton University Secular Humanists).

VICTORIA TURLEY is a senior at Central College in Iowa majoring in English with a Non-Profit Management minor. She has worked for several non-profit organizations in LGBT and human rights, including development and fundraising.

BRITTANY SHOOTS-REINHARD is a PhD candidate in social psychology at The Ohio State University, where she researches how people’s thoughts about their attitudes, personality, goals, and other topics influence their judgments and behavior.

Please join us in welcoming this outstanding team!
