“A Night with the Unsheltered”

"A Night with the Unsheltered", was HAPI National's first act of volunteerism for 2023 under the supervision of HAPI CFO Mutya Valenzuela. Together with the volunteers of the HAPI - Bulacan chapter they headed out to Poblacion, Malolos City at 9:00 pm on January 20th to distribute 80 packed meals, 60 ensaymada (brioche buns with butter and sugar), 80 packed biscuits, and 100 bottles of water. Tricycles drivers and street sweepers were also given food and snacks, bringing the total of beneficiaries to 160 people. Last December, we received good news from GO Humanity informing us we qualified for an increase in budget for the food security program. We are grateful for this additional funding as it will allow us to reach more people who need our help. This year, aside from our regular chapter feeding programs, we will also be helping the unsheltered. We have collected pre-loved clothes, shoes, bags, blankets, banig, toys for the kids, and other items that were donated by people who believed in our advocacies. We will be distributing these along with hot meals, bread, and water. The collection of items will be ongoing throughout the year.
