Bigasan Para sa mga Ina: A Livelihood Program: for the Indigent Mothers of Bulacan

The Bigasan store will help 20 mothers whose family earnings are not more than $45.00 a month. We would like to give them 10 sacks of rice for them to sell. How does it work? They will sell the rice by the kilo and after they sell all the rice the income and the interest will be used to buy 10 more sacks of rice with the addition of 3 sacks of rice (from the interest). After two months, the mothers of HAPI Bulacan, Philippines can get rice and have it put on their tab. They will then be allowed to pay within 2 weeks. Through this program, mothers can sell and borrow rice from the livelihood program.
