On June 17, 2023, the children of HAPI Bulacan had another Reading Room session at the HAPI Headquarters. This time, they learned about diversity and inclusion.
The main focus of the session was to learn that we live in a world full of unique people and that differences should be embraced. The 16 children also participated in a discussion about cultural traditions throughout the Philippines. This then led to more conversations about the importance of acceptance and how harmful discrimination can be.
After a short play break, the kids then went on to decorate their recycled bottles that are now used as coin banks. The children have been able to save their change and have expressed their interest in using their savings to go on a field trip in the near future.
