We distribute Hygiene Kits, jackets/sweaters, shoes, and blankets to people without homes. We set up tables and as people visit we offer them the items. We also offer conversation. Many stay at a nearby shelter, many sleep rough, some sleep in cars or tents, and some couch surf.
Though we cannot distribute all of these items at every Distribution event, we try to provide our clients with Bandages (bandaids), Bar soap, Breakfast bars, Deodorant, Feminine pads and tampons, Flashlights, Hand cream/body lotion, Nail clippers, nonperishable chicken/tuna, Safety razor, snacks, Shaving cream (small), Socks, Toothbrushes and toothpaste, Toothpick/dental floss, Towelettes, and Underwear liners.
Our clients report that they especially appreciate the food, the flashlights, the nail clippers, and the socks. But they report that all items are welcome. We served over 100 clients at this event.
