Educational Fun with the Dumagat of DRT – June 6, 2023

It was a very happy day indeed for the Dumagat children of DRT! They received educational games, puzzles, toys, flashcards, and school supplies from various donors. They also made use of their whiteboard from HAPI donor Aneem At-Shiyaam Ysmael for learning sessions. Approximately 86 children were then served sopas (macaroni soup) as a healthy snack after playing with the educational toys. Many of the kids had to head home right after. The children expressed great interest and were most pleased with the puzzles as they do not get to play with them often. HAPI wishes to thank Kristel, the young Dumagat woman who spends her time teaching and guiding the children when she is not working on obtaining her teaching degree.
