February 2022 Food Rescue

We are now officially an intermediary transporter for Food Bank of the Rockies/Feeding America Grocery Program. We are also picking up at and Einsteins Bagels 4 days a week and had two collections from Keystone Conference Center. We estimate that we collected 1400 pounds of food in February. This food went to the Summit Community Care Clinic, Father Dyer Church (food pantry and community dinner), the FIRC pantries, Smart Bellies, and the Summit Community and Senior Center. We are still working on our website. We are working on licensing to repackage large pans of food so that they are useable by our partner agencies for their clients. It's a complex issue and we are engaged with the County and State Departments of Health. Both are very supportive and helping us along the way.
