Food Security Project activity report for march 2023

There has been massive clearing of cultivable land for active farming at most of our farmlands. The students at our secondary section begun a huge tomato planting initiatives and they have been actively supported with funds from Go Humanity. They bought seedlings, farm implements, fertilizers and a nap suck sprayer machine to help in keeping the pests away from attacking the crops. The staffs at our Bizoha school, Kahendero campus and Rukoki campus are all trying their best to participate in planting whatever crops they like. Some have planted corn, beans, matoke bananas and fruit trees. Tomato harvests are ongoing since one of our staffs had planted the tomatoes in phases and her efforts are making it possible for our kitchen at the schools to have these in abundance. With the onset of the wet season, we are intensifying our gardening initiatives, we are planting more dodo, sukuma wiki, eggplants, garden eggs to mention but afew.
