HAPI Green Movement – HAPI Tree Growing

In celebration of Humanist Day, World Rainforest Day and Arbor Day, HAPI Tree Growing 3- day event series was initiated by Diosa Marie Aguila-Aguirre, HAPI Green Movement volunteer. On the first day (June 21, 2021), a webinar with a theme “Tree Growing - HAPI and EMU Webinar: Toward Ecosystem Restoration” was conducted with guest speaker Mr. Herbert Bañados of BatStateU Lobo Campus. On the second and third day, June 22 and 25, 2021, tree planting and growing were done, in coordination with Environmental Management Unit of Batangas State University, San Jose, Batangas MENRO and Balayan, Batangas MENRO, at Brgy. Anus, San Jose and Brgy. Patugo, Balayan. Mulch was sponsored by HAPI. Tree growing is an activity that nurtures the trees from tree planting events by putting mulch around the roots, removing the weeds near them, and watering them.
