HAPI Plastic Free July

Plastic Free July is a global movement that started in 2011 in response to the overwhelming problem of plastic waste pollution. It challenges the volunteer participants to reduce single-plastic use for the month of July, and document their processes. As part of Humanist Alliance Philippines, International’s (HAPI) Environmental Humanism mission, HAPI Green Movement commenced HAPI Plastic-Free July 2022, in partnership with Environmental Management Unit (EMU) –Alangilan and Pablo Borbon Campuses. This project documented the initiatives of the participants of their ways in reducing their plastic wastes. Moreover, it culminated in a beachfront cleanup activity in Ilijan, Batangas City on August 11, 2022.
