April Food Rescue

This month our food distribution was 2101 pounds. It was a slow month and Diane was out of town for 10 days. Diane went to the meeting of the Breckenridge Restaurant Association and talked about doing mud-season clean-outs of restaurants. (some of our restaurants close for a couple of weeks in the slow shoulder seasons between winter and summer, where it is muddy from snow runoff, skiing is over and hiking and biking aren't really started yet to preserve the trails). These clean-outs usually result in some nice produce being donated. The pictures are of mud season donations from three different restaurants in Breckenridge.
