March Food Rescue

This month our food collection and distribution was 4428 pounds. This is the highest yet even though it was another 'slow' month. This is because 2344 pounds was food that we distributed from the largest food pantry in our community. There were a few times that they had milk that would be past the sell by date before their next open day. We distributed this milk through a home delivery 'back pack' program and through direct distributions in a neighborhood clubhouse. We also distributed onions, apples and sweet potatoes when there were too many for the food pantry to distribute.
