Pikes Peak Atheists and Pikes Peak Atheist Families- TESSA Drive 2021

PPA again supported TESSA with their annual Holiday Shoppe. TESSA empowers victims of partner and sexual violence to take back the life that is rightfully theirs. Holiday Shoppe helps more than 100 families annually, providing the opportunity for adults and children to exchange gifts during the holiday season as they work with TESSA to build lives of safety and self-sufficiency. TESSA clients are invited to shop from a variety of new items (all donations from our generous community) and of course, all shopping is free. Gifts will be wrapped on site before they leave the Shoppe. Pikes Peak Atheists and Pikes Peak Atheist Families members have donated over 1350 items to the Holiday Shoppe over the last 7 years. This year our total contributions add 133 items, including $125 in fast-food gift cards (counted as 1 item per $5), and many other great items. This puts our grand total at about 1500 items over 8 years. We were hampered from a larger collection again this year due to the lack of in-person events where we usually collect, but we did have ways to order online and ship directly to TESSA, so we had some success.
