Welcoming the newest Pathfinder and announcing Pathfinders Project individual fundraisers

Pathfinders Project is a yearlong humanist service trip that will be evaluating programs for a future Humanist Action: Ghana.

Our newest Pathfinder, Michelle Huey, is a senior design and political science–public service major at the University of California, Davis. While at Davis, Michelle has worked as the graphic design coordinator at the campus Cross Cultural Center, which has informed her approach to intercultural communication and given her valuable experience in cross-cultural sensitivity. She has also served as the vice president of the UC Davis chapter of the Tzu Chi Collegiate Association, an international Buddhist humanitarian organization. Additionally, she serves as an executive board member for the Secular Coalition for California, and is a member of the Secular Student Alliance and Secular Woman. We are excited to have her!

Claire Cooper, for personal reasons, will not be able to participate in Pathfinders Project. We will miss her expertise, but Claire is committed to supporting Pathfinders Project in other ways and we wish her the best.

The Pathfinders Fundraiser
Thank you to the more than 75 donors who collectively contributed $7,005 to Foundation Beyond Belief’s IndieGoGo campaign for Pathfinders Project. Although we still have a lot of money left to raise, without these initial supporters we would not even be able to get Pathfinders Project off the ground or, literally, our volunteers in the air.

The next fundraising effort will be coordinated by each of the individual Pathfinders, who are responsible for raising $10,000 each toward the total Pathfinders Project budget of $95,000.
