Activity report for June 2023

We have been harvesting lots of tomatoes, beans, soya beans, amaranth and garden eggs. We have also harvested some maize at our Rukoki campus but in a negative turn of events, our plantations around the Bizoha school muhokya have been badly affected by a dry spell where the thriving maize farms have dried up due to the hot sunny weather that spend weeks with no traces of rain pour. We expect zero harvests on this season. We are expanding on the eggplant farming on the outskirts of nyamwamba river and around the Rukoki school,we are harvesting egg plants. The secondary school section are in their final stages of harvesting tomatoes and this upcoming season they will be specialising in sweet potato farming. Cassava, matoke and sweet potatoes continue to thrive. All in all we are so thankful for all the support Go Humanity continue to extend to Kasese Humanist Schools for it has helped us fight hunger, poverty, malnutrition and diseases.
