WHERE: Progress Place, 8106 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring MD 20910. We set up our tables on the sidewalk in front of the building.
This event was a bit different from prior events. We distributed more nonperishable food: pouches of tuna or chicken, breakfast bars, and granola bars. We also distributed crew socks, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and dental floss. We passed out small backpacks as well. We served about 75 clients. Most seemed under 50 years, but a few seemed older.
