WHERE: Progress Place, 8106 Georgia Ave, Silver Spring MD 20910. Tables set up on the sidewalk in front of the building.
It was a cold, windy day. But our clients turned out and received nonperishable food, Hygiene Kits, shoes, blankets, string backpacks, and sweaters. We set up near Progress Place Shelter where people come and go. Some of our clients stayed overnight at the shelter and some slept rough. We distributed nearly 100 Hygiene Kits, 20 pairs of walking shoes, 9 blankets, and multiple canvas bags and backpacks.
