Summer Heat Relief – Sun Safety Supplies Drive

Arizona is one of the HOTTEST PLACES ON EARTH from May to September. Heat related illnesses cause over 250 deaths and nearly 3,000 emergency room visits annually. Low income families, older adults, and people without adequate shelter are among those especially at risk.

The need in our neighborhoods is tremendous. Together we can do a small part to help others survive the extreme Arizona temperatures by offering sun protection and heat relief essentials such as sunscreen, sunglasses, misters, and hats. We are asking for monetary donations rather than the actual items. We know that combining our resources and buying in bulk allows us to give more.
