Join North Florida Atheists for a volunteering opportunity

North Florida AtheistsThe North Florida Atheists recently joined Foundation Beyond Belief’s Beyond Belief Network, and were founded by one of our new fall interns, David Viviano. One of the main goals of NFA was to help establish a community without religion and to promote more charity work, helping those in need while also working to normalize the word “atheist.”  Last month members came together for the first time and helped Dignity U Wear, folding and sorting clothes for those in need. Dignity U is especially focused on three areas: school children, veterans, and women/girls in crisis.

With their great volunteer turnout last month, the event was such a success that NFA has agreed to come help at least once a month. They have an upcoming event August 31 with the goal of bringing more members every time and also encouraging other local groups to join in. If you’re in the area, consider joining North Florida Atheists — click here for more information.
